My favorite Grand Slam of the year has started! Maybe it’s the magic of those midnight matches with the roar of the New York crowd. Maybe it’s the hardcourts with the arrival of Fall. Whatever it is, there’s just something extra about the US Open.

With the start of this year’s tournament, I’m reminded of Naomi Osaka’s rise last year in the controversial Final against Serena Williams. I felt so bad for her because no one wants to both defeat their childhood idol and win their first Major like that. Rooting for her to win it outright and enjoy it properly this time!
