Next in my “behind the scenes” deconstruction of Art of the Game pieces is Kevin Durant! Just as I finished this piece, the rumors of KD coming back to the Dubs was kicking up. We held it back from printing until the trade deadline passed just to be safe. I wouldn’t have minded if I had to make an edit haha!

I recently came across an art book showcasing the work of Bob Peak. I was familiar with some of his pieces, but not his career. Amazing, astounding work. I highly recommend anyone to check it out. Tried to imbue this piece with some of his energy by being looser with my linework and working in a pencil style rather than my traditional ink and color methods. Really happy with how this came out as it feels different than my other work, but still feels like me. May try more pieces like this in the future.
