We made it! Day 31 is the G.I. Joe Drill Instructor, Sgt. Slaughter! I was so confused as a kid though – when Sarge was introduced as a Joe, he was a bad guy in wrestling at that time! I didn’t know how to root for him lol!
So here we are – the last day of this wacky Inktober project. It’s been a fun ride messing around with Sharpie markers and attempting different techniques. I’m glad this project got me sketching regularly on good ol’ paper again. No undo button on these! Had to just make do with the lines made even if I didn’t like them. It’s been a good exercise in just letting go and moving on. I definitely got something out of this giant @inktober drawing exercise.
My gratitude to all of you that followed along and listened to my ramblings throughout these posts. I hope you enjoyed seeing the twists and turns my sketches took. If you’re a G.I. Joe fan, I hope they invoked some joyful nostalgia. It got me lookin’ at some old episodes on YouTube haha. Now, I eagerly await Skybound Entertainment’s release of the new comic series. But until then, AT EASE, DISEASE! <- see what I did there?
