Here’s a belated birthday gift for a friend who has a Zatanna-themed sketchbook.

Wanted to do an illustration with Zatanna doing a magic trick that could work in a design element as well. Went with flying cards which I thought could add some depth and sense of movement.

I also knew I wanted to use it as an excuse to graytone with copic markers. It’s been a while since I got to do that. Overall, I’m pleased with the outcome.
