Day 14 brings Cobra’s master of mind control and interrogation, Dr. Mindbender! The first workday after the weekend is always a bit of a mind bender, so this is appropriate. I did not know he was a peace-loving orthodontist who was developing a machine to alleviate dental pain! He tested it on himself and the machine went haywire, causing him to become hateful and evil. What an origin story!

I’d been going away from doing rendering with the black marker and thought I should go back in that direction. In his purple cloak, I went away from the “grid rendering” I’ve been trying and went back towards regular cross-hatching. I like how that area came out. I did go back to the “grid-hatching” a bit in his glove, but I didn’t do a good enough job in separating that shape. If I had a white out pen, I woulda went around its edge to give it some separation. Ah well. Live and learn.
