Sketchbomb SF: Cross Section

sb063012-04crossecficcreatureMore sketchbomb-sf sketches! Here is the fourth and final sketch of the night from the June 30th session. The theme was “Cross section of a fictional character”.

This one was a fast 15-20 minute sketch. The theme was to draw a cross-section of a fictional character. Because of the super-short amount of time on this one, I know I had to keep it fairly simple and graphic — there wouldn’t be any time for much rendering. The idea got into my head of drawing some sort of food-related item, but we were suppose to draw a fictional character, not food! Then I thought, what if the character is made of food? My brain grabs onto the idea of candy characters. That did it. The Gummy Bears theme got lodged into my head and there was no getting it out. I kept trying to come up with something else, but my brain kept going back to the gummy bear idea. So, I decided not to fight it and just go with it.
