“Between the We Believe Warriors and the emergence of Steph, there were a few years where, though the Dubs were a losing team, Monta Ellis was just so dang fun to watch. He was absolutely electric on offense using his ridiculous speed to shoot past defenders and just float to the basket. Plus he had a steady midrange game. There was that time he shot 60% from the floor for an entire month, becoming only the 9th guard in NBA history to do it! He was definitely deserving of being an All Star – and probably woulda been if the Warriors were a winning team. I was sad when the Mississippi Bullet was traded to the Bucks. Wish there was a better way to have ended his time on the Warriors. This is my way of saying thank you to Monta for all the fun and excitement he gave to DubNation.
