Here’s a comic book page advertisement I made for SUPREME 63.
With Erik Larsen doing the art, it’s always easy to get a striking image. I was looking for an impactful, iconic looking image to use, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find it in the issue 63 art. But, I was able to find it on the issue 64 cover art!
I clipped out the figure of Supreme flying and zoomed in as close as I could while maintaining print quality. I kept the white background which I felt help keep the feel of the ad open but also striking.
Of course, since the story was Alan Moore’s final Supreme story, I had to make certain that was a prominent part of the ad. I made the big text block and in the open space in the upper right corner of the ad with the Alan Moore related text in the bright “Supreme red”. Lastly, added the sales solicit info in the lower left corner, but to keep it from fighting with the Alan Moore text, I made the info in the lower left smaller. That way, the order of information being processed by whoever views this ad should take in the Alan Moore info first, then the regular sales solicit info after.
