More sketchbomb-sf sketches! Here is the third sketch of the night from the June 30th session. The theme was “Redesign Uncle Sam”.

This one sorta had me stumped for a while. I wasn’t certain what I wanted to do. But I did know what kind of layout I wanted the sketch to be in, so I just started doodling that while thinking about what I wanted to do. After a while, I decided to make him be a modern take of the old depiction. Instead of an old man, I made him much younger with a goatee. I kept the hat on him, but got rid of his coat. Instead, his sleeves are rolled up, his tie is undone, and he’s got a furrowed look on his face. He’s younger, but he’s still serious. He knows America is going through a tough time, but he’s not giving up. He’s ready to get to work! At least, that’s what I was going for. …I think he ended up looking like some sort of WWE wrestler… Hahahahhaha….
