Here’s a comic book page advertisement I made for DANCER.

I actually had a lot of fun making this ad. I again altered the cover art to issue 1 a little so that the art in this ad is presented in a slightly different manner than in comic form.

I cropped and zoomed in the art to cut out dead space and focus on the figures. Because the tagline infers Alan protecting the love of his life (the dancer), I thought it’d be fun to “up the level of danger” in the ad. I created the crosshairs of a rifle scope and positioned it like a sniper was taking aim at the dancer. Then, to push the focus to that spot, everything outside the scope is not quite as in focus as the area in the scopes crosshairs.

For the text, I kept it all in white to contrast with the dark blues of the background.
